Had fantastic food in the restaurant. Rooms good. Location nice and peaceful.
We stayed there for a weekend away on which we visited Ludlow and Bewdley. The hotel is a quite large older style establishment which seems to be often used for wedding receptions etc. The room was spacious and included all necessary furniture in older styles. As it was winter the surrounding scenery was slightly obscured by misty weather but could see the views would be nice in good weather. The meals available were slightly expensive. While we were staying there was a wedding reception being held at the hotel, and in the evening a disco for the wedding party was on, this got louder later in the evening and it wasn't possible to sleep until it ended around 1am. We didn't complain as it was obvious that the guests were having a good, beit slightly riotous time. However once the music and shouting ended we did then sleep quite well.
The room was ok but tired and the shower didn't work properly. Drinks were extortionate. Breakfast was good. Place could do with a revamp. There for a wedding. Function room was very nice and comfortable.
20 buffet didn't have a lot of choice, sweet potato fries were virtually cold, sandwiches stale and not a lot in quantity for 100+ people. Expensive drinks.
Calling this a hotel with a spa is a joke!!!! Me and my friends went to have this spa experience with afternoon tea. The so called spa is an attached separate building more like a local leisure centre . If anyone out there has this image of walking around in robes in a wonderful tranquil setting well this was not the place .We where given a towel at reception ..The place was filled with locals and their children just having a normal day at their leisure centre .If you wanted treatments you had to phone a therapist who would come and do the treatments have no idea where these treatments would have been carried out ( may be in the changing rooms) The heat room we had to walk through some some corridors then down the stairs to access it . I have given 2 stars as the afternoon tea was good and the woman who served our tea was a star.
