Good selection of drinks, typical old man's pub with a nice layout
A great local, wonderful ale and super company. Not to everyone's taste, of course, as it's still a bit dingy at the back, despite recent well-trumpeted re-decorating.
Real ales n ciders. Great friendly staff and punters. Very relaxed. Beer garden. Fresh cobs n snacks... juke box.. traditional pub..dying breed.
This pub is unassuming from the outside but once you're in, it's a different world. From guest ales to a permanent marquee and sunny beer garden, it has all you need. And more, it has a juke box and a great team of people to serve up your beer. Serves coffee and you can also bring in your own food. Good supporters of local charities too.
Brilliant pub,great really ale, cosy and lovely out door area...you don't feel your in the town centre.
