Plenty to do for the kids all year round. Summer is an excellent place for the water park.
Always well looked after Park - with lovely blooms In the Summer .. and the delightful Water Splash for the Kids in the Summer months ...Gents toilets were surprisingly clean !
Good, just it needs a cafe and the toilets aren't always open. Back again on 9/12/18 and guess what the toilets are closed again!!! They have gone to the expense and trouble of putting a sign up stating when they are open. See photos and evidence to the contrary. The council are quick enough to take the tax out of my account...
Potentially a lovely and well maintained park with a great space for kids, including a splash pad in the summer. Its easy to get to by all roads encricling it. A major downside/criticism would be that a lot of the paths through it are poorly/not lit.. so night time is a potential haven for vagrants and neer do wells.
An excellent place to go for a walk, with free parking. Theres lots of squirrels around &.the gardens are always keep neat & tidy. We particularly liked the historic buildings, especially the monument & new benches. You can find shelter in the bandstand or the architecture shelter. There's also toilets in the middle of the park, a football pitch & a skateboard park.
